Consistent play earns Andrew Ruthkoski third-place finish in Michigan Open

Four rounds of consistent golf earned area golfer Andrew Ruthkoski a third-place finish in the 95^th Michigan Open.

Ruthkoski shot rounds of 70-67-70-67 and finished in a tie for third, nine shots behind the champion, Barrett Kelpin from Kalamazoo.

In Thursday’s final round at The Orchard’s Golf Course in Washington, Mich., Ruthkoski had four birdies and one bogey on the front nine and three birdies and one bogey on the back nine.

Ruthkoski, who won the Michigan Open in 2007, finished at 14-under-par 274.
