The West put on a record-setting performance in Saturday’s 32nd Annual Michigan High School Football Coaches Association All-Star Game.

With Spring Lake head coach Jerry Rabideau at the helm, the West posted a 59-7 romp over the East. The 59-point output was the highest in the history of the game.

The East time had won three of the last four games until Saturday’s West victory at Balhke Field on the campus of Alma College.

Six area players participated in the game.

Muskegon Catholic’s Jason Ribecky scored the game’s second touchdown on a 27-yard pass from game MVP Cooper Rush, from Lansing Catholic Central. Cooper finished with four touchdown passes.

Other area players included Muskegon’s Juwon Lewis, Oakridge lineman Brad Millis, Grand Haven’s Dakota Smith, Ludington’s Boyd Meeker and Fruitport’s Josh Hulka.
