Local golfers Hailey Hrynewich and Aya Johnson were among the leaders after the first round of the AJGA Stonehenge Open in Indiana on Tuesday.

Hrynewich and Johnson shots 73s and are in a three-way tie for fourth place in the Winona Lake, Ind. event.

Britni Gielow shot an 83 and is tied for 27th and Kelsey McKinley is in 32nd place after shooting an 85 on the par-71 course.

All four will be back on the course early on Wednesday morning for second-round action. The tournament concludes on Thursday.

A total of 35 girls are entered in the tournament, which is an American Junior Golf Association event.

Catherini Li of Kent, Wash., shot a blistering 5-under-par 66 and is atop the leaderboard.

Hrynewich and Johnson each had three birdies during their opening rounds.
