The Midwest Beach Volleyball Tournament will invade the Lake Michigan Shoreline this weekend for the Grand Haven Wilson Open.
Grand Haven native Stevo VanderWerp will team up with Evan Engle in the local event at the Grand Haven State Park.
Women’s open team registered thus far include Kellie DeMeritt-Vicki Vega, Lindsey Balcom-Trisha Bates and Christine Kalcic-Megan Miller.
The action begins at 8 a.m. The semifinals of both the mens and womens tournaments are expected to begin at about 4 p.m.
While the Pro/Open Division gets much of the attention, there will also be a youth division and an amateur division on Saturday. On Sunday, there will be a co-ed tournament.
