North Muskegon’s Aya Johnson saw her run in the 86th Women’s Western Golf Association National Junior Championship come to an end.

Johnson lost 3 and 2 to Morgan Nadaline of Anderson, Ind., in the semifinal match of the championship flight. The match was played at Cincinnati Country Club.

That outcome leaves Johnson with a spot in today’s consolation finals, where she will face off against Samantha Spencer of Georgetown, Ontario.

Johnson has had a solid summer season on the golf course. She had won the Golf Association of Michigan Junior Golf Championship at Muskegon Country Club.

Spencer lost 7 and 5 in the morning match against  Chakansim Khamborn of Thailand.

Nadaline and Khamborn will be the matchup for the championship match.
