The annual Waterfowl Day has a new location for this year.
Next Saturday, the Fifth Annual Lake Effect Chapter of the Michigan Duck Hunters Association will host its event at the DNR Headquarters, 7600 E. Messinger Rd. in Twin Lake.
The event begins with registration at 9:30 p.m. This free event will be from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. with a free lunch served at noon.
Participants will receive a free duck call, decoy and duck identification book. There will be sporting dog demonstrations, wood duck box building, landyard building 101, duck and goose calling and many of activities.
There also will be free raffles and giveaways throughout the day. One lucky participant will win a fully outfitted waterfowl hunt for the 2012 Youth Hunt.
