Fruitport’s boys soccer team isn’t ducking any of the heavy hitters this season.

On Tuesday, the Trojans dropped a 3-0 decision to Jenison, which improved to 5-0-1. Fruitport fell to 3-2-1.

“The Trojans scheduled many top teams early in the season to challenge the players and force the team to grow,” Trojan coach Greg Kobylak said. “We will continue to find ways to improve and get ready for the most important part of our season relating to our ultimate goals.”

Fruitport goalkeeper Loghan Strong was solid in net and finished with 11 saves. Jenison outshot Fruitport 16-6.
