Grand Haven hung around at Lowell before finally falling to the host Red Arrows, 29-12, in nonconference action Friday.

The Bucs trailed 14-12 after two quarters, but Lowell scored 15 fourth-quarter points to pull away.

Trailing 7-0 after one quarter, the Bucs responded with Abe Westerman’s 11-yard touchdown run. Lowell would lead 14-6 at halftime, but the Bucs’ Michael Penland hit Jake Lovett on a 20-yard TD strike to pull within 14-12. The 2-point run conversion failed and Grand Haven went to the fourth down two.

Grand Haven finished with 335 total yards, 276 in the air as Penland was 18-of-45 pass
