After two weeks of heartbreaks, Ludington can now take a breath with its convincing 47-20 win over visiting Orchard View on Friday night.

The Orioles jumped out to a 35-20 halftime lead on the legs of Chad Large.

Opening up with a 50-yard scoring run, followed by scoring runs of 14 and 1 yards, Large was too much for the Cardinals. Large also connected with Jake Kaczynski on a 23-yard touchdown pass, giving the Orioles solid control going into the locker room.

Ludington’s defense stepped up in the second half and kept Orchard View scoreless.
