Asantay Brown recorded three interceptions and quarterback Tyree Jackson ran for two touchdowns and passed for another to lead Mona Shores to a 41-6 homecoming win Friday over Grand Rapids Union.

Shores (4-1) led 14-6 after one quarter as Chris Bradford scored on a 12-yard and Jackson and Brown hooked up for a 20-yard TD strike.

Paul Brown rambled 37 yards for Union’s lone scoring play.

In the second quarter, the Sailors received three rushing touchdowns by Darnell Longmire (1 yard), Jackson (1 yard) and Bradford (21 yards).

Jackson capped the scoring for the Sailors with a 3-yard TD run in the third quarter.

Defensively, senior linebacker David Bloom recorded 13.5 tackles, with Alek Jend contributing seven stops and Matt Rose and Brown adding four apiece.

Mona Shores returns to action Friday when it visits Muskegon for the Big Reds’ homecoming contest.
