Orchard View runs past Grant 8-0 in Lakes 8 boys soccer action

Orchard View was off and running with five first-half goals on Thursday in a Lakes 8 soccer game against the Grant Tigers.

The Cardinals added three more in the second to finish the game with an 8-0 victory. The game was called at that point under the MHSAA mercy rule.

Carlos Nunez and John Leonard each scored two goals to lead the way for the Cardinals. Joey Powles, Cameron Stafford, Jake Jett and Arvid Logdberg had one goal each. Leonard, Nunez, Powles, Logdberg and James Hendricks each had an assist.

Dylan Tyler had two saves in net for OV, which outshot Grant 21-2.
