Holton’s five turnovers were turned into five scores as Reed City routed the Red Devils 60-21 on  Friday night.

Reed City led 28-0 after the first quarter and never looked back.

Holton’s bright spot was Chase Smith, who rushed 13 times for 160 yards. He scored on a 51-yard touchdown run.

Ludington 47, Orchard View 20: Ludington quarterback Chad Large accounted for four touchdowns, three rushing and one passing in the league victory over the Cardinals. Large scored on rushes of 50, 14 and 1 yard. He also had a 23-yard touchdown pass to Jake Kaczynski, who also rushed for two touchdowns. Marty Herzhaft had two rushing touchdowns and eclipsed the 100-yard mark in rushing.

Hesperia 14, Morley-Stanwood 3: The Hesperia Panthers overcame a history of bruising defeats at the hands of Morley Stanwood, defeating the host Mohawks 14-3 to improve 2-1 overall and in the Central States Activities Association. Morley Stanwood falls to 1-2 overall and in the CSAA. The Panthers have not fared well versus the Mohawks in recent years, falling big in the last four meetings between the two squads. Hesperia has lost by a combined 179-28 score in those four contests.

Newaygo 9, Lakeview 8: The host Lions remained undefeated under Coach Andy Busch with a narrow victory over Lakeview. Connor Bradley’s field goal in the third quarter proved to be the difference for the Lions. Heath Harrington rushed for Newaygo’s lone touchdown and rushed for 75 yards.
