Muskegon Lumberjacks Tyler Hill, Frederik Tiffels and Michael Brodzinski have been selected by the NHL Central Scouting as players to watch in the United States Hockey League this coming season.

A total of 34 USHL players on on the list, which was chosen by NHL scouts.

Hill, from Hagersville, Ontario, was a fourth-round draft pick in the 2012 USHL Entry Draft. He recorded 16 points in 22 games last season as a sophomore at Hotchkiss School in Connecticut. He will be on the Jacks’ affiliate list and play his junior season in high school at Hotchkiss.

Brodzinski, a defenseman from Blaine, Minn., was involved in a trade last season that gave the Lumberjacks his USHL playing rights. He played the last three seasons for Blaine High School and did play three games for the Jacks last season. He is on the Jacks’ active roster.

Tiffels, from Cologne, Germany, was a second-round draft pick in the USHL Entry Draft. Last season, he split time between Jungadler Mannheim U-18 and Team Germany U-18. He had 33 points in 53 games. This will be his first experience playing hockey in North America.
