Thursday night’s Division 2 soccer game between top-ranked Spring Lake and No. 3-ranked Hudsonville Unity Christian was postponed until Friday night.
The unexpected death of a Unity Christian player’s sister forced the postponement until 5 p.m. Friday at Forest Hills Northern.
Thursday’s game was scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
Spring Lake coach Jeremy Thelen said he learned of the postponement at 4:45 p.m.
“Tough stuff to deal with,” Thelen said in a text message.
