Muskegon Catholic scored on its first offensive rush on Thursday night and cruised to a 6-0 victory over Kent City Algoma Christian in a Division 4 district soccer semifinal matchup.

The game was played at Western Michigan Christian’s Warrior Field. The Crusaders will take on North Muskegon at 11 a.m. Saturday at WMC with a district title on the line.

Keith Kuharevicz scored 20 seconds into the game and the Crusaders were off and running. MCC added three more goals in the first half to take a 4-0 lead.

Kuharevicz finished the game with three goals. Erik VanFossen, Frank Gasior and Jeremy Joyce added single tallies for the Crusaders.

Todd Hall posted the shutout in net.
