The Muskegon Community College Jayhawks dropped a 2-1 decision to Schoolcraft on Saturday.
The game, played at Grand Haven High School, was a Region XII semifinal game. Muskegon CC came into the game as the No. 4 seed while Schoolcraft was No. 1.
Schoolcraft took a 1-0 lead into halftime and increased its advantage to 2-0 early in the second half.
The Jayhawks got on the board on a goal by North Muskegon’s Greg Sischo with about 30 minutes left in the game. MCC had several other chances in the remaining minutes, but could not produce a game-tying goal.
Muskegon advanced to the semifinals on Wednesday with a 3-2 victory over Jackson Community College.
