There was no panic in the Muskegon Community College Jayhawk women’s basketball team on Saturday.

After falling behind by double digits right off the bat, the Jayhawks regrouped and captured a 70-58 victory over Alpena in the Jayhawks’ second game of the Pepsi Classic at Bartels-Rode Gymnasium.

Lindsey Burnside led MCC with 11 points and 13 rebounds. Jazmyn Good had 11 points and five steals and Sonnie Kurnat had five assists.

Whitney Frazier had 23 points to lead Alpena.
