“We were focused from the jump, and once we got on them, they couldn’t recover from the first quarter,” said Ravenna coach James Lane III. “The girls are definitely happy and it showed a lot about themselves, which is always good to see the hard work pay off a bit.”

The Bulldogs’ defense limited Well Spring Preparatory to just four second-half points, getting steals on man-to-man pressure.

Erica Adams led all scores with 10 points, 11 rebounds and four steals for Ravenna. Patricia Alocen had 11 rebounds, five points, four assists and four steals while Brianna Grimm had seven rebounds and a pair of steals for Ravenna.

James Lane III

“Feel like it is a win, but it doesn’t determine the next,” said Lane who will have to make adjustments for upcoming Orchard View next week Tuesday.
