Orchard View turned up its full-court pressure in the fourth quarter and topped visiting Fremont 50-41.

The Cardinals went on an 18-4 fourth-quarter run getting steals and quick layups.

“Our press was the deciding factor for us tonight,” said Orchard View coach Rodney Walker. “Chelsea Nash was instrumental with her energy and steals in that run.”OV trailed 33-30 entering the fourth quarter. But Nash, Jayshonna Blackshire and Diamond McGee picked up on defense and forced Fremont to turn the ball over.

Blackshire led the Cardinals with 14 points, four assists and four steals. McGee had 13 points, five rebounds and three steals while Nash had four steals in the fourth.

Orchard View came out hot in the first quarter, hitting 3-pointers taking a 17-12 lead. But the Packers slowed downed OV in the second quarter, limiting the Cardinals to just three points and taking a 23-20 halftime lead.Fremont was led by Makayla McDonald led Fremont with 13 points and 13 rebounds.

Precious Anderson finished with nine points and Daejia Hill had eight rebounds and three blocks for OV.
