Kent City’s girls basketball team raced out to a 15-4 lead after one quarter and rolled to a 43-32 home win over Coopersville in nonconference action Tuesday.

The Eagles (5-1) handed Coopersville (5-1) its first loss of the season as the Broncos were limited to 11 first-half points.

Both teams scored 21 second-half points, but after Coopersville cut the lead to   29-21, after the third quarter, Kent City finished the game off with a 14-11 scoring edge.
