Mona Shores’ balanced scoring attack proved to be too much for Spring Lake to handle on Wednesday night.

Eight Sailors scored at least five points each in a 60-57 nonleague boys basketball victory over the host Lakers.

Adam Rayner, the Sailors 7-foot post player, was the only player in double figures for Shores. He scored 11 points. Julian Loera scored nine points on a trio of 3-pointers. Freshman Kobe Burse also finished with nine points.

Spring Lake was led by Austin Johnson with 20 points and eight rebounds. Nick Goeglein had a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Erick Johnson added 10 points.

The game was tied after one quarter then Shores surged to a 36-27 halftime lead. But, Spring Lake battled back with a 15-6 scoring advantage in the third quarter to tie the game at 42-all.
