Muskegon Community College battles back, defeats Cornerstone JVs in men’s basketball

The Muskegon Community College men’s basketball team trailed most of the game, but when it counted most, they were able to grab the lead and the victory over the Cornerstone University jayvee team.

Muskegon CC won 80-78 after trailing by as much as eight points to the previously-undefeated Eagles.

DeVaugh Cole-Rodney finished with 11 points, 17 rebounds, three assists and three blocked shots. Jalin Gross just missed a triple-double as he scored 22 points, pulled down nine rebounds and had eight steals.

Delvon Brown added 15 points and six rebounds and Kenya Oas had 12 points. T.J. Grant and Asa Wyers had nine points each.

The Jayhawks wrap up nonconference play on Dec. 28 at home against Mid-Michigan.
