Muskegon Lumberjack goaltender Kevin Lindskoug was named the USHL Goaltender of the Week after posting a pair of shutouts last weekend.

On Friday night, the native of Trelleborg, Sweden stopped all 28 shots he faced in a 4-0 victory over Team USA. That included 16 saves in the third period.

On Saturday night, Lindskoug stopped 29 shots in a 3-0 victory over the Chicago Steel at L.C. Walker Arena.

“It was a good weekend for me all-around and the defensemen played outstanding in front of me.  The defense made me more calm and relaxed between the pipes,” Lindskoug said.  “Manny (Legace) and I have been working hard on the technical aspect of my game and I am glad that the hard work in practice is starting to pay off.”

That effort gives him a league-leading five shutouts.  He has a 6-0-1 record in his last seven games.

He has won his last four starts.
