MUSKEGON – The host Reeths-Puffer Rocket girls basketball squad successfully utilized a first quarter full-court press to cruise to the 46-20 non-league victory over rival Whitehall.

“The press created turnovers that led to quick baskets,” said Reeths-Puffer head coach Brandon Barry. The Rockets led 21-8 at the break.

Reeths-Puffer again broke out the press in the third to spark a 21-6 run, keyed by six different Rocket scorers in the frame, that put the contest out of reach.

Kalisa Williams and Grace Swanson both led the way for Reeths-Puffer with nine points each, with teammate Camaryia Williams dishing out five assists.

Whitehall’s Brandi Blazer scored a team-high six points, with teammate Emily MacArthur pulling down 11 rebounds in the losing effort.
