Ludington pulled away in the final quarter to earn the Lakes 8 Conference win over visiting Fremont on Friday night.

The Orioles trailed 40-39 entering the final quarter, but outscored the Packers 27-10 in the final quarter.

“Ludington came out strong in the fourth quarter and scored the first 11 points,” Fremont coach Pete Zerfas said. “We had many good looks, but shot 4-for-21 from 3-point land and only 17-for-50 overall.”

Jacob Schoon and Remington Rohrer led Ludington with 14 points each, Trevor Wahr scored 11 and Christian Bandstra added 10 points.

Mike Siegel led Fremont with 18 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and six steals.

Mike MacLean scored 13 points for the Packers. Dylan Krim and Jacob Kaastra had seven points each.

Ludington is now 6-2, 3-1 in the Lakes 8. Fremont dropped to 4-3, 3-1.
