Muskegon Lumberjack goaltender Kevin Lindskoug enjoys facing the Chicago Steel.

In five appearances against the Steel this season, Lindskoug has posted three shutouts, including Sunday’s 1-0 victory. In those five games, Lindskoug has allowed four goals for a 0.79 goals-against-average.

For the season, Lindskoug has a league-leading seven shutouts. The league record for shutouts in a season is 11 by Dan Ellis of the Omaha Lancers during the 1999-00 season.

Lindskoug turned aside all 26 shots he faced on Sunday and improved his record to 19-9-4.

The only goal of the contest came off the stick of Adam Gilmour at 17:16 of the third period. Gilmour turned a Steel turnover into a breakaway and his 14th goal of the season.

Chicago goaltender Alex Sakellaropoulos faced 34 shots and stopped 33.

In the season series, Muskegon has a 5-0-1 record.
