Kyle Kendra scored the game-winning goal at 6:02 of overtime on Sunday and lifted the Reeths-Puffer Rockets to a 4-3 victory over rival Mona Shores.

The game was played at Lakeshore Sports Centre.

Austin Swiatek scored the game’s first goal to give Mona Shores a first-period lead.

However, the Rockets received second-period goals from Dean Griffin and Derreck Pleiming to take a 2-1 lead.

Adam Ulfsax scored the first of his two goals to knot the game at 2-all.

Tom Munroe scored to give the Rockets another one-goal lead, but Ulfsax scored again with 10 seconds left in regulation and the game proceeded to the overtime.

That set up the heroics for Kendra, whose goal was assisted by Josh Smith.

For Mona Shores, it was its third game in three days and its fifth loss in a row after starting the season 18-0-1.
