FREMONT GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM ADVANCES TO CLASS B DISTRICT TITLE GAME WITH WIN OVER TRI-COUNTY

Fremont pulled away in the final quarter to earn a 47-44 Class B district semifinal win over Tri-County on Wednesday night.

The win sends the Packers into district championship game on Friday night at Sparta High School against the winner of the Sparta and Newaygo game.

The Packers trailed 38-36 entering the final quarter, but outscored the Vikings 11-6 in the final quarter.

Hailey Lensky led the Packers with 16 points and 15 rebounds.

Shelby Karnemaat chipped in with 11 points and Claire Abendroth had five assists.
