Cullen Hurley gave Muskegon a 1-0 lead, but the Steel responded by scoring three straight goals.

Chad McDonald scored the first of hist two goals late in the second period to pull Muskegon to within a goal.

McDonald tied it early in the third period with his second goal of the night.

Chicago’s Nolan Valleau put the Steel up for good with seven minutes remaining.
