The Muskegon Community College men’s made a strong showing this weekend, but fell just short to Delta College.
The Jayhawks posted Baker scored of 189-201-241-181, which was good for second place.
“We finished strong, but not strong enough,” MCC coach Bill Bowen said. “The men’s team lost to Delta College over the weekend by only 8 pins.
High scores included Cameron Calkins with 199-186-233–617, Jimmy Strysick 198-178-188-564, Lucas Johnson 190, Bobby DeCheney 180 and Kyle Essenberg 177.
The final standings include Delta in first place, Muskegon CC second and Schoolcraft was third.
 
The women’s team also took second behind Schoolcraft.
Top scores for the Jayhawks were Stacey Walton with a 172-157-164-493, Adrianna Baker 161 and Jolene Douglas 169.
In the final standings, it was Schoolcraft first, Muskegon CC second and Delta third.
MCC heads to the NJCAA national tournament in Buffalo this coming weekend.
