The Ravenna boys bowling team ran up against a red-hot team on Friday in the Division 4 team state bowling finals.

Ravenna, which qualified seventh in the morning Qualifying Block, ran up against Riverview Gabriel Richard, the No. 2 qualifier, in the quarterfinal round. Riverview advanced with a 1,144-1,119 decision over the Bulldogs.

In the Baker games, Ravenna posted scores of 139 and 159 so it was down eight points going into the individual game. In that game, Riverview Gabriel Richard posted an 838-821 victory and moved to the semifinals.

In the semis, Riverview beat St. Louis and went onto capture the team state title with a victory over East Jackson.
