Monica Holden posts another shutout in net as Fruitport blanks Fremont in girls soccer

Monica Holden notched her fifth shutout of the season on Thursday and led the Fruitport Trojans to an 8-0 Lakes 8 girls soccer victory over Fremont.

Carly Kryfka, Hannah Samlow and Kelli Kersting each tallied a pair of goals for Fruitport. Allisa Benedict  and Lauren Maus scored the Trojans’ other goals. Jessica Erny finished with three assists and Emily Pieczynski had two. Samlow and Kersting added an assist to go with their two goals. Maus also drew one assist.

Fremont goalkeeper Hailley Twigg made 15 saves.
