Montague earned a West Michigan Conference baseball doubleheader sweep of Oakridge on Tuesday.

The Wildcats won the opener 4-3 and the nightcap 11-3.

In the opener,  Oakridge led  3-1 entering the bottom of the seventh inning, but Jacob Buchberger’s two-run double plated the game tying runs for the Wildcats in the bottom of the seventh.

Ben Rupert’s single plated the winning run for Montague in the bottom of the eighth inning.

Tristen Schultz pitched all eight innings and fanned six to earn the win in the opener for the Wildcats.

In the nightcap, Chayce Lohman earned the pitching win for Montague. He allowed three runs and struck out four.

Lohman also chipped in three hits at the plate and Rupert had a three-run triple.
