North Muskegon dropped a heartbreaker to Grand Rapids Covenant Christian 8-7 in 10 innings on Friday.

The Norse led 7-6 after the top of the eighth on Brody Scott’s RBI single which drove home Reese McCamant.

Covenant Christian was able to respond by scoring on an error to tie it at  7-all in the bottom of the eighth and won the contest off a walk-off double in the 10th.

North Muskegon held an early 5-0 lead after the second inning that was led by Adrian Anderson’s two-run double.

But the Chargers were able to climb back with its biggest inning coming in the sixth with four runs.

McCamant led the Norsemen with three singles and two runs scored while Scott added two singles and two RBI. Stephen Pallante scored two runs.

Adam Edick took the loss for North Muskegon.
