Western Michigan Christian earned a 2-1 River Valley Conference girls soccer win over Tri-unity Christian on Tuesday.

Brea Frein and Alli Langeland scored goals for the Warriors.

WMC goalie Lindsey Johnson finished with four saves.

“The heat surprised both teams and the play on both sides was showing the first game in the high temps,” WMC coach David Hulings said. “But, I think our conditioning paid off and we were able to outlast Tri-unity more than we beat them. The goal Alli scored was a great lift for us.  We have come to not be surprised by her strikes anywhere on the field.”

WMC outshot Tri-unity 17-5.
