Muskegon Community College reached the 30-win mark on Thursday with a softball doubleheader split with Kalamazoo Valley Community College.

MCC won the opener 7-4 and dropped the nightcap 6-1.

In the first game, Kaitlyn Wozniak was the winning pitcher. She allowed four runs and seven hits in seven innings of work. She struck out five. Leading hitters were Kayti Carlson with three singles and Kelly Barnes with two hits and two RBI. Sydney Tharp had a two-run single.

In the second game, Barnes had two hits and Taylor Sanicki had a double for MCC.

Megan VanderWall was the losing pitcher for MCC (30-21, 21-8 in the Western Conference).
