Softball All State selections name area players to first team honors

The Michigan High School Softball Coaches Association recognizes stellar players from around the state each year and several area players were named first team all-state by the association.

In Division 1, Mona Shores won the district title and Meghan Birr was honored for her solid play through out the year by being named first-team All State.

Jacki Stone  led her Holton squad all the way to the Division 3 state semifinals and was named first-team All-State.

Morgan Giddings from Oakridge also made first-team All State in Division 3.

Ravenna’s Carley Jawor and Holton’s Rachel Younts earned Honorable Mention in Division 3.
