Western Michigan Christian has hired two new cross-country coaches for this coming fall.

Kevin Aardema and Steve Snuffer will share the job of training Warrior runners.

Aardema is a math teacher at WMC and has trained and competed in running events, triathlons and kayaking. Coaching high school athletes has been a routine for Aardema as he coached high school baseball in Detroit for many years.

Snuffer’s drive for distance running has existed since his high school days. He also recently qualified and plans to run the Boston Marathon next spring.

The school won a Class C state championship in cross-country in 1974.

WMC created a Facebook group to help communicate with its team, students, parents and coaches. To join the group, send an email to: [email protected].
