Sand Storm beach soccer tournament running on Pere Marquette beach

The inaugural Sand Storm beach soccer tournament starts up at Pere Marquette beach this weekend, Aug. 17 and 18.

Currently there are 21 teams signed up for the event and games run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and start at 10 on Sunday. The championship game should get underway around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Teams consist of U10 to U19 and are being hosted by the West Michigan Storm soccer club.
