Reeths-Puffer made a halftime lead stand up as they beat East Kentwood 14-7 on Friday night.

The Rockets led 7-0 at half on the strength of Corey Plichta’s 1-yard TD run.

Julian Munday made it 14-0 R-P in the third quarter on a 30-yard scoring run.

East Kentwood answered with its own scoring run by Michael Ivy in the third quarter, but R-P’s defense kept East Kentwood off the scoreboard in the final quarter to earn the win.

Munday rushed 21 times for 180 yards to lead R-P and DeAngelo Williams and Josh Buie led the R-P defense with eight tackles apiece.
