Big volleyball win for Big Reds in 3-1 victory over Benton Harbor

MUSKEGON – It was a big Monday night for the Muskegon Big Red volleyball after defeating Benton Harbor 3-1 in non-league action.

“This was a huge team win for us where everyone made a difference,” said Big Reds coach Greg Roberts. “When you look at (the) stats, everyone played a part!”

Muskegon won the match 26-24, 25-22, 27-29, 25-20.

Leading the Big Reds was Laydee Spencer, who finished with 20 service points, while Renee Sischo had 18 points and five aces. Shawnteanna Dame had three kills in the victory.

The Big Reds get back to league play tonight versus Reeths-Puffer and Mona Shores on Thursday.
