Big Red girls break into the win column with a 61-48 victory over Rockford

The Muskegon girls basketball team evened its record at 1-1 on the season with a 61-48 non-league victory over Rockford Friday.

Muskegon led at halftime 25-19 and had a 37-27 lead after the third quarter.

Jade Paige led the Big Reds with 21 points. Mardrieka Cook’s 15 points and Janiece Levelston’s 10 points and nine rebounds helped the Big Reds earn the victory.

Rockford (1-2) was led by Logan McCane (15 points) and Tiana Colovos (11 points).
