First half dooms Hesperia in loss to Morley-Stanwood in girls basketball

Lauren Zeerip did all she could for Hesperia but couldn’t lift her Panthers through a rough first half against Morley-Stanwood on Monday. Hesperia fell 63-43 despite Zeerip’s near triple double effort.

Zeerip finished with 18 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists.

The Panthers trailed 25-13 at half and fell further behind after Morley scored 22 third-quarter points.

Mariah Stitt tallied 16 points, had six rebounds and four assists for the Panthers.
