MUSKEGON – The host Mona Shores Sailor girls basketball team dominated winless Holland (0-4) Friday night, blowing out the Dutch 47-17 in a contest between former OK Green Conference rivals.

The Sailors (1-1) held the narrow 12-9 lead after one quarter before holding Holland to just four-points-or-less across the next three quarters, taking a 25-12 lead into the break and holding the 34-16 edge after three.

Mona Shores’ Jasmyn Walker led all scorers with 16 points, while also finishing with nine steals, six rebounds and two assists in the win. Teammate Rachel Anderson totaled nine points, while Jena’a Matthews led the Sailors with seven boards.

Holland was paced by Martha DenHerder, who led the Dutch with 14 points, with teammate Morgan Ricketts finishing with a game-high 13 boards and three steals.
