The Reeths-Puffer girls basketball team broke into the win column Friday with a 50-33 victory over Fruitport in non-league action.

The Rockets led 25-23 at halftime, but used a full-court press defense to hold the Trojans to 10 points in the second half. Reeths-Puffer won despite being outrebounded 48-32.

Reeths-Puffer and Fruitport are both 1-1.

The Rockets were led by Camaryia Williams, who finished with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Kalisa Williams added 11 points while Carrie Wilson chipped in seven.

Francesca Cerniglia led the Trojans with 11 points and 24 rebounds. Iyana Brown chipped in 11 points
