So far Iowa has not been a hospitable host for the Muskegon Lumberjacks.

They headed west with a two-game winning streak on Monday, and have lost twice in Sioux City since then.

The latest setback came Saturday when the Lumberjacks dropped a 4-2 decision to the host Musketeers. The defeat dropped Muskegon to 13-15-4 on the season.

At least Muskegon is not alone in its lack of success against Sioux City. The Musketeers are now 22-8-1 on the season, which is good for third place in the very strong USHL Western Conference.

The Lumberjacks, in the midst of a season-long eight game road trip, will try to get back on the right track Sunday with a 4:05 p.m. game in Des Moines.

Sioux City got a pair of first-period goals from Austin Adduono and never looked back.

The Musketeers took a three-lead early in the second period with a goal from Jake Montgomery. The score became 4-0 in the third period after a goal by Blake Heinrich.

The Lumberjacks got late goals from Connor Wood and Matt Iacopelli

Jordan Uhelski took the loss in goal for Muskegon. Collin Olson was the winning goalie for the second straight night for Sioux City.
