Mona Shores couldn’t withstand a third period offensive outburst by Rockford in its 7-5 boys hockey loss on Wednesday. The Rams scored five goals in the final period.

The Sailors played Rockford even through the first two periods and held a 2-2 tie going into the third.

Nathan O’Neil and Jonah Shafer led Mona Shores as each had a goal and an assist.

Dalton L’Allier, Chandler Mancuso and Colin Rabach each scored goals for Mona Shores.

Assisting on goals for the Sailors were Nick Edlund, Ben Essenberg, Glenn Kastelic and Alec Sturr.

Timothy McClain made 19 saves in goal for the Sailors.
