Big third quarter gives Mason County Central girls a 60-49 win over Whitehall

A 19-1 third quarter propelled the Mason County Central girls basketball team, to a 60-49 victory over Whitehall Friday in West Michigan Conference action.

Whitehall led 11-10 after one quarter and Mason County inched ahead 26-24 at halftime. But the 19-1 burst in the third quarter allowed the Spartans to take control.

Madison Geers paced Mason County Central with 19 points.

Emily MacArthur had 17 points and 14 rebounds for Whitehall while Payton Bearup added 14 points and Brandi Balzer had 12.
