A stagnant offensive effort doomed the Grand Haven boys basketball team Friday in a 51-32 loss to East Kentwood in O-K Red Conference action.
Grand Haven failed to score more than nine points in any quarter. The Bucs trailed 24-15 at halftime and were unable to climb back into the contest.
Connor Grimes paced Grand Haven with 13 points. Ben Hecker led a balanced East Kentwood attack with 11 points.
The Bucs dropped to 2-6 on the season while the Falcons improved to 5-2.
