Krystal Geers scored 31 points and grabbed eights rebounds despite Muskegon Community College’s 69-61 loss  to No. 19 Lake Michigan College on Wednesday night. Geers carried the Jayhawks on 13 of 23 shooting.

“We fought hard against a quick, athletic team.” said Jayhawks Coach Rob Recknagel. “We are at a crossroads of our season where we need to stop being satisfied to be in games and start making the big plays that’s will allow us to win games.”

Sonnie Kurnat added 11 points, six assists, and six rebounds and Katie McKinnon led under the basket with nine rebounds.

MCC will be back in action of Saturday where they will look to bounce back against nationally ranked Kalamazoo Valley Community College.
